Name your spots people, Places with good food that are bike friendly.
Anndion Lodge, Wanganui.
They promote themselves as biker friendly, They even have their own bikes.
And I know they are known as its common to see bikes parked up outside, and the place is crammed full of bikes around boxing day.
Anyhow, Ate their a couple nights back, FUCKING AWESOME.
I went back for seconds and just grabbed a huge plate of meats, I was in severe pain, yet It was so delicious, I done the right thing, I had it all, then three deserts.
And its way flasher then I expected.
Good people.

Be warned, Their website does them no justice.
Perfect spot for a mid ride break, Plenty of parking, Awesome service, a big fuck off mountain for scenery, and a flying fox.
I ordered the Eggnaki burger, That was 3 weeks ago, I'm still digesting the fucker.
When I spied it on the menu I thought that would be perfect if it came with bacon.
When it arrived, It was was full of layers of beautiful sexy bacon.
Be warned, Their menu set out does them no justice, For some reason burgers are under Eggs...ffs.

Not biker-centric place [I think} but the Green Parrot (http://www.greenparrot.co.nz/menu.html) in the Wellington CBD is awesome - at the moment run by a Greek family. Very American diner-type food - solid, generously-proportioned and down-to-earth goodness.
Reminded me of a diner I went to while studying in the US, which looked like it'd just been transported from the '50s with the two old waitresses in their uniforms and white aprons, and a grizzly old fella in the back with his white cap and greasy apron. There was a "He-Man" breakfast, which was bascially everything on the breakfast menu! If you ate it all, it'd be free and you get your photo on their wall. LOL
Needless to say, no one ever finished it and while I was very tempted, I just had a less ambitious breakfast of 3 eggs sunny-side, hash browns, slices of bacon & fried tomatoes, 2 sausages, 2 sausage patties, 4 slices of toast [choice of brown or white], a short stack of buttermilk pancakes [blueberry ones are nice], a tonne of maple syrup, block of butter, some peanut butter and jelly [what they call grape jam], a pot of coffee and a glass of milk. I didn't need to eat till dinner!

The Turangi bakery has the best pies in NZ :)
Lies!!!!
I work in Taupo a bit and have found a bakery there with the best pies in the world!* The won the supreme pie award for their "Bacon beef mushroom and cheese pie" om nom nom. Paetiki bakery, you wont regret it.
Then after you have the pie do a lap of the lake, actually quite good roads and usually pretty empty.
*World, by my definition excludes over seas just cos.
