Thanks for the info Spyda. Had heard it was Friday. Will be there to pay my respects too.

Another room on offer in upper hutt if it's needed. Looks like there will be no shortage of hospitality for those out of town.

It has been suggested to me there should be a thread on here for Marks Funeral/Memorial ride details as well as a place where bikers could post messages thoughts which I think is a fantastic idea! here is what I posted on Facebook and you can just add from there.

Hi Everyone, I have just been contacted by Mark's Family. They have asked me to pass on details of Fridays funeral regarding a memorial ride to honour Mark after the service on Friday. These are the wishes of Janice and close family.
As you will have read the Funeral is at the Hope Centre at 8 Downer street Lower Hutt starting at 10:30 am, after the service there will be a cup of tea/snack etc at the Centre then Janice would like everyone on motorcycles and cars to follow Mark and the family on a ride up to the Akatarawa Cemetery and Crematorium where there will be a Private Family ceremony. The ride will go via Fergusson Drive to pass Garage Espresso, continuing through to the beginning of Akatarawa Road. At this point we (everyone other than Family) will turn back and head back to Garage Espresso 458 Fergusson Drive where we can all have a catch up, chat, laugh, cry, lie etc etc. There will be a lot of traffic and the family are looking into this, so please be aware this will need a lot of thought and sensibilty on the part of everyone participating. I apologies if this is hard to understand if you have any questions ask away. As I said these are the wishes of Janice and Marks family, I personally think is a perfect way to see off our Mark!
Cheers
Ken.

Well what can 1 say about todays Awesome and very moving send off for Mark, other than it was very very touching.
Just seeing the amount of people who turned up to show their respects to such a Wonderful and Amazing guy was Fantastic and it just goes to show you how many Hearts Mark touched with his positive attitude and outlook on Life.
A True Role Model to us all on how to Live Life to the Fulliest.
Marks Wonderful Wife Janice was Inspirational and so Strong in the way she got up in front of all who were there today and spoke about the Good & Happy times her and Mark had enjoyed in their lives together and there were so many of them it was great to hear.
