PMS - Parked motorcycle syndrome.

Tempted to leave work and go for a ride.

Okay no rego and warrant. But how big can the fine be?

They say money can't buy you happiness but it can buy you a motorcycle, gear and gas which equals happiness.

It'll seem a lot bigger once you've got it in reality than it does when you're just thinking about it

Due to recent surgery there were several weeks of enforced PMS.
Driving the car was pure hell. Fuck cars with a large sized fucking stick.

All good now.:ride:

Surely your arse works better now after the surgery, so it was worth the angst.

I ride for work as well... so I just have to make an excuse to be at a client... or I have the ride to work... oh, or the ride home...

Then again, I don't have a car, so the bikes are stopped only because I have to do other work... never parked

that would depend on how many times you got a ticket on your ride wouldnt it<_<?

two times in seven years for no licence on bike = $400?
Licence = registration licence for 7 years = $4000.00+

demerits 60?
over 7 yeares = 0

simple

My arse has the ability to clear a room of all living bacteria (including spotty teenagers) within 15 seconds, so is working fine.
No surgery needed there.:shifty:

not really, if you live in a big city, then the chances of being pinged increase tremendously, let alone parking Nazi's
If your ride fast, and take lots of risks, then you will get pinged often, and loose your licence as well.
But if you live in small town NZ, or ride like a nana, then you will be unlucky to get pinged, and enjoy many years of fun riding.

Indeed, when was the last time you were pulled over twice in one day? Never happened to me, and I've been on the roads for 26 years. The last time I was even looked at closely by Mr Plod was a random checkpoint probably 18 months ago.

I'll take those odds.

Bike has been stripped for over a year and I am suffering BIG pms. Sometimes I think about putting it back together unpainted just so I can go for a fang. At least I am getting a wee bit of a fix from the dirtbikes. A mate kindly lets me ride one of his bikes every now and then, but of course I would not ride on the road without a license.:innocent:

No, read my post properly.

"I'll take those odds" - Quite obviously I'm talking about probability. Rego for a year = $520 (ish?), rego fine = $200. Given the amount I ride, the distances I travel and the localities I travel in, I'll bet you whatever you like I get fined less than I pay in rego fees. I'm planning on covering a few kms later in the year, thereby increasing my odds of being snared by the revenue merchants so I'll put rego on my bike at that point.

:blink:you do that.......its a good idea:shit: Have you considered that whilst individually you are saving money, you may be costing fellow motorcyclists more as they have to make up any shortfalls for your savings?:niceone:

What rubbish.

I hadn't noticed National increasing motorcycle ACC levies again because of the enormous drop in registrations. Or did I miss the press release?

There's a hole in the bottom of your argument and all the logic seems to be leaking out.

You think the government wasn't fully expecting exactly what is happening as a result of the massive increase in the ACC levy?

I've got a brilliant idea:lol: I'm going to suggest to Steven Joyce that fines for unregistered bikes be $100 per each month since expiry date. May as well get in before someone in Govt thinks of it.

:killingme

Shit! Just realised, I'd better wait untill I get my rego up to date. It ran out on Thursday.
