Anyone notice the red rear lights on the Moto3 (and I assume the other classes) bikes before?
I had not noticed them before.
Something to think about for NZ???

I had read that they were going to run a F1 style red light in the rain. Not a stupid idea

I'm not sure about bikes in the UK National and club racing but sidecars there have been running them for ages

All of the GP classes are required to run a rear light in wet races as of the start of this season. That, along with brake lever protectors were part of the new rules for the litre bikes.

Actually it wouldn't be too hard for me to put the origional light back in on the ProLite 250.

They normally have to be a certain size and brightness, someone would have to come up with a standard for the light to meet

I have one here on my desk and it has 5 leds that could blind a man from 20 metres away! Could be dangerous to riders if angled incorrectly I think.

Good idea but surely there's more important things to think about in NZ at this point in time.

Been a fun little project to do something similar using 3D rapid prototyping.
