Reading this tonight! Any body ever seen info on somebody getting a steel subframe for an EXC built up? Pretty simple so can't see why not. Just add a few more tabs etc to mount a tail rack. Then again just buy some Wolfman E-10 panniers and learn how to travel really really light (18l total in the panniers).

After pulling out the DRZ400 subframe to do some work I noticed far from symmetrical and oddball shaped it is, reproducing one in 4130 for adventure luggage would be great, but a very a time consuming job. The KTM 450/5XX subframe is far more basic, you'd think there would be an individual or company that produces them, especially for the common bikes like the KTM
