...i just listen to whats happening live on Manx radio... and when the racing commentaries are off air you get a pleasant program to listen to without the mind numbing, inane, kiwi media shite...moving pictures are cool though...do i sound old...or incapable of sustaining a link ....

listening to it is the go, bring up also the live timing screen and you wont even want for video footage. the live timing from memory has five points plus two speed traps so the combination make an awesome way to enjoy. the only bitch is the time of night it's on...

If racing goes ahead on time, on Sat 2nd the first race is 10pm (all NZ times). Mon 4th, first race is 9.45pm. Wed 6th, the same, 9.45pm. Friday the 8th is: Lightweight at 9.45pm, with the Senior at 12.30am.
You can find live radio comentary on various sites. Which even I can (normally) listen to on dial up.
Cheers.

We cheat a little bit.
The ITV website http://www.itv.com/sport/isleofmantt/ is covering it for UK people to watch using the ITV player http://www.itv.com/ITVPlayer/?intcmp=NAV_ITVPLAYE2. but the coverage is restricted to internet users with a British IP address so I couldn't watch anything on it :(.
The answer is to use a proxy IP adddress (much easier than you might think). I googled "Proxy IP" and found a few youtubes explaining how to do it. This one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEcRl_buACQ is the one I watched and used (for Firefox). I searched 'Free proxy" on google and found a british IP number which I copied then pasted into the IP box (following the Youtube directions to get at the settings of my PC), then typed in the Port number (which was alongside the IP addresses on the list). Clicked ok and voila I am now on a pommy IP addy (until I reset it) and yes I can now view whatever I want using the ITV Player. For those not using firefox try scrolling the results for your "how to use a proxy IP" search until you find a result for your browser type.
Note: I experienced a big slow down on internet access to some other sites (incl KB) , but that can be fixed when you re-set your IP addy. Also note that some of you may have pre-set (rather than 'auto detect) IP number so you will need to remember that number and the assigned port number to go back to your normal internet service (if you have problems with your connection).
For those without Sky you should be able to do the same thing to watch WSBK and Moto GP on the internet. Possibly on sites other than the British ITV site. Just have to pick a different IP number that is for the same region as that of the web site showing the content you want to view.
Wooooohoooooo Looking forward to watching the IOM racing for the first time.:banana::banana:

Just a note about the above, don't go doing anything too important like your online banking etc while using a free open proxy.
Since all your traffic is routed via the proxy address, it isn't exactly secure but that isn't a worry for watching IOM etc. :second:

I looked at the ITV site using this link http://www.itv.com/sport/isleofmantt/ and saw the 'watch the ITV4 coverage' link under the side car http://www.itv.com/itv4 and it opened the player page with the message Please enter your email address to watch the French Open live Sign up and we'll email you the latest ITV Sport news and offers . So I did the google "free proxy list" search and used one of the first results http://www.freeproxylists.net/ or (http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/) scrolled down looking for the british flag (NOTE check the speed/connection and/or response/transfer ratings on the right side columns for a good connection speed) and selected one on the third page 77.73.3.32 (http://www.freeproxylists.net/77.73.3.32.html) port # 3128 which had an 'uptime' score of 89% and decent response/transfer rating (though it did appear that there weren't as many options for the UK this time, so there may be an element of luck on the day). On the ITV page I selected Sport then Super bikes and watched the MCE BSB Oulton Park International 5-7 May: Oulton Park International (http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=316653) Only watched a few minutes worth and had to wait a while for it to stream when I jumped forward into the race but she was faultless full screen after that.
As I said, it may be a matter of luck on the day, but check the transfer/speed ratings of the proxy (Started this response using auto proxy and finished using the UK IP) No probs.

Just went back to auto proxy and now cant open the BSB race video. Comes up with the message 'sorry video only available in the UK yada yada.
Forgot to add (as earlier poster pointed out)... don't use your passwords or do electronic money transfers credit card purchases etc on these proxy IP's... they are not secure

Jesus what a mission! Think I'll just buy the DVD.
I phoned Sky and the reason they won't screen the TT is simply they don't have the rights. A friend who lives in Sydney watches it live on Foxtel. Bugger!

Don't worry. It only takes a tenth of the time to it took to write it. In fact once you know how to do it it's a 30 to 60 second operation.

as time went by they delayed and shortened both then, delayed them further, did a course inspection; reinstated the lightweights race distance and cancelled the senior for the first time in history...
We waited up most of the night for that too bugger it all.
