Has anyone done it? I know you can get after market horns which are really loud, but I think it would be awesome to have a truck air horn on a bike.
Just me?

Stebel horns are pretty good. They make truck horns as well. Oh and ships' horns. You should try one of those. Have a look at the Stebel website - you can hear most of their products do their thing on there.

one of my brother's friends acquired a fog horn. (god only knows how.) he kept in the back seat of his car (took up half the space) and had it connected to the alarm.
he never bothered locking the doors, just left the alarm on. you couldn't be within 30ft of the car when it was going off.
but yea. i have an "awwuga" horn i was thinking about the other day...
and a horn speaker, which i might hookup to pre-recorded "git the fuck out the way you idgit", "shift it a55wipe" and maybe a mewl like the cop bikes... that'd be fun.

Just get a stebel, which is only not a truck horn in that they didn't come from a truck anyway.
Or you could stick a big one over the guard or somewhere and make it a cool visual feature. I put twin stebel 'strumpets' on my van, which look cool, and are fucking loud!

If you want to be heard:
-Tape a bike tube onto your exhaust.

Or glue those little whistling things off a vertex ball all over your bike.

Haha, awesome. My dad told me a story about how one of his mates got a train horn and drove round a town with no trains anywhere nearby and hooted this horn at night.
I had a ;look at the Stebel site, I like this one http://www.stebel.it/stebel2009/products.asp?IDserie=17&uso=1&tipologia=camion maybe a bit big for my bike. I like the idea of a couple of trumpets, maybe under each of the indicators on the front.

the stebel is sufficient, and a good size for bikes,
Ive seen people put airhorns on, thinking it was cool, but the reality was that the fitment affected steering and a few cables etc making it not only dangerous but stupid too.
go with the stebel!

That's the one you want. Both my bikes have 'em.
Louder in person...

BTW: make sure you know which way your horn is wired. When playing around installing on the Connie, I hooked her up, flicked on the ignition and got deafened without pressing the horn button (horn to ear distance of stuff all). Someone wise in the ways of electrickery will probably be able to explain what happened better than me...

I threw a musical on my bike not too long ago. Disregard that earth.

Worked pretty well, if you don't drop the bike on its left, totally taking the compressor and radiator with it...

Saw a Harley with a big chrome horn approaching a meter long as if off a Kenworth. Took an age to pump up the air then he only got one blast, but it was a good one. The second attempt faded away embarrassingly.
I'll stick with my Nautilus.
