I'm not 100% sure but think the only Kiwi racing the TT this year is Bruce Anstey.
Still we only need one there to win and right now after the first practice 8 of the fastest ten are Honda mounted so given that Bruce is riding for Padgetts on a Honda that's got to improve his chances a bit.
Nor sure whther Bruce has won 7 or 8 TT's but (see below) but lets hope he brings another home for New Zealand

Anstey Quickest in latest Superbike session, also he's been the quickest in the Superstock class
With damp patches in the Glen Helen section, speeds were a bit down on the opening lap, but, second time around, the pace of many quickened, none more so than Anstey and Rutter who circulated in close formation. The duo topped the Superbike session with speeds of 128.815mph and 128.072mph respectively and, although many of the fancied runners failed to go quicker, good laps were posted by David Johnson, Daniel Hegarty and Grant Wagstaff, with the latter posting a first ever 120mph+ lap.

I told bruce he would have a good year this year even if he is on a honda(at least it won't break down like a suzuki)

Stayed up and listened to the 600 race, it was brilliant ..GO BRUCE !
Was lucky enough to be watching Saturday's racing from Governor's Bridge to see Bruce take out 3rd place podium. Guy Martin bit unlucky with a rear spindle problem, so didn't get 2nd rear tyre change. John McGuinness just so smooth and consistent.
Said hi to Daniel Jansen in the paddock after Friday night qualy, he was busy making changes to the bike...unfortunately he got DQ'ed from the race for pit lane infringement...only one to ever gave been DQ'ed :angry:
Awesome to see Bruce take out the Supersport race on Sunday - saw the days racing from Creg-ny-Baa and Kate's Cottage - one of the fastest downhill straights down the mountain and hard braking into 90deg right-hander at 'the Creg.'
Hopefully Bruce can repeat again tomorrow (Wed) in Supersport Race2. John McGuinness looking pretty hard to beat in the Senior TT on Friday...

Bruce Anstey is a Legend, I hope he continues to race and win until he gets the superbike win he wants, on the home front we seem good at celebrating dead heros.....surely Bruce is a someone to celebrate now....rather then wait and have something similair to burt munro.....why not rename a street race now after Bruce....Whanganui seems like the obvious choice...

Well said. I'd cook him a feed anytime. I have huge respect for Shaun Harris as well. Sure he can be sand under the eyelid, but he's accomplished some serious shit on a motorcycle and that needs to be trumpetted.

And what about Andrew Stroud? So many titles, so many kids and he always has a smile and a word for the punters. Maybe we need a thread celebrating living legends?
