Kiwi Suspension Solutions ( formerly Crown Kiwi Technical ) has secured a K-Tech service kit suitable for their shocks and forks. We also have access to spec cards, manuals and setting banks and in fact have been rebuilding / re-specing a number of these units so they are more suitable for our mix of low grip and bumpy tracks.
Just like any product ( including our beloved Ohlins product ) the spring rates and internal valving has to be optimised to suit the variables of tracks, tyres, rider speed etc.
With our new SUSPENSION DYNO ( see seperate post ) we are now able to graphically show the before and after results and often that means that the suspension can be much more dialed before it is even bolted back into the bike. It doesnt 100% act as a total substitute for ''seat of the pants'' testing but it saves a hell of a lot of time before you start to test ( and wear out tyres etc ) . This because it gets it into the zone of suitable setting first.
