I am looking forward to seeing the boats on the Thames, hopefully the pageantry will be exciting.

I watched the river parade this morning, at work, while getting paid to do so.

You have to hand it to the Poms, when it comes to pomp and ceremony, they do it better than anyone else. The number of vessels on the river made it a bit chaotic.

For the effort than went into organising it, just a pity the rain came down. I bet some of the rowers were frozen by the time they got out of the3 rain and wind.

That is about all she is good for.

Too true. Quite moving watching 'Land of Hope and Glory' being sung. Gutted that I didn't see 'Jerusalem'. Yeah, I'm a sucker for 'Last Night at the Proms'

Been trying to avoid the whole thing. Any bombs yet?

Been trying to avoid the whole thing. Any bombs yet? For about half a second when the fireworks went off unheralded on London Bridge I thought so ... but no.

Good on her I say! Sure - her job is really just to be better than everybody else but she does it very well.

Frankly the 100 republicans protesting in the crowd of 1 million made their points look utterly ridiculous.

I don't really care terribly much either way but whats the point in all those stonking great buildings and churches unless you have some posh people to have weddings and funerals and parades n stuff. England's a terribly crowded place and has a lot of issues, they deserve some fun too.

She has a quaint new dinghy.

I wonder if the greenie weird-beards made her have oar power instead of an engine?

Phil is pulling an epic sicky. Think about it. Having to sit through a load of spotty oiks and some other crass entertainment at a variety show.

*cough, cough* "Sorry Liz, going to pop down to the hospital and will have to miss the show. Frightfully sorry."

:niceone: Onya Phil!

.

The royal barge itself, looks like it could be used to haul coal Monday to Friday.
All that 'Gold' around the front looked like it came from the $2 shop. Not a lot of 'style' there.

I reckon, if they could've got the HMS Victory sailing at the head of the flotilla, that would've looked spectacular.
