hi guys. this is my first thread and i hope someone can help me out here. I have a 1999 VTR 1000 . Great, grunty machine... Im looking for two things though.... Im looking for after market pipes that will give it a better sound... (any sugestions) ? and im looking for a set of APE manual Cam tensioners, or is there any sugestions to other Tensioners....? Where do i get these Tensioners locally?
Kind regards all.....

your best bet will be to source those things offshore on the likes of ebay, it will be a mile and a half cheaper, but I would start at your local dealer/workshop and go from there.

not sure if those will be any good to you but there is a start

Same thing but cheaper

Dunno about the quality but at this price I was going to give these a go

Or these?

Hard to go wrong at that price I reckon. I've seen a carbon can they produced on a mates ZXR and it looks to be OK

I have arrow carbon cans on mine, they're really light but too loud.
I see a guy commuting with Micron Stainless cans and I think his sound better and are less obnoxious.

I had titanium Two Bros on mine. Great sound but quite loud - depends what you're looking for...

APE tensioners are a good product, Norther acc where importing these at one stage but there stock holdings where hopless probabley better to get them from overseas. make sure the cylinder is at TDC when fitting the tenisoner or else they can jump a tooth on the cam sprockets with the expected result
