Im new to new Plymouth, love riding my bike but as yet have not met up with many other bikers to ride with.
From my research, it seems that there is a offload club up at Barrett Road, a classic bike club and apparently some club that doesn't seem to exist called the kaitake riders.
I just want to meet up with others, look at bikes and go on the odd ride as I still haven't got total faith in my bike to go on a longer ride by myself.
Anyone got any clues?

During daylight saving there are "pie and pint" runs from Energy Honda at 6.00 on alternate Thursdays.
Call in and get put on their email list.

Kaitake Riders do exist and are active. Rides start at 10.00AM on the last Sunday of the month and they do the occasional over nighter. (Most recently to Okoroire?) They have done pot luck dinners. They have nice club rooms right by the beach being, as they are, part of the Kaitake Rugby Club. The club lost its senior team and started a motorcycle arm as a way of boosting membership and utilising their facilities.

From what I hear the classic bike club do interesting runs and aren't too insistent about the "classic" thing.

There is also the local branch of Ulysses.

It's not unknown for rides to have actually been organised here.
