A few weeks back i noticed my SV's water pump 'tell tale hose' leaking / dripping coolant so i replaced the water pump mechanical, oil & impeller shaft seals & associated gaskets.

From day one I noticed a minor amount of water / moisture gathering at the end of the water pump 'tell tale hose' when riding & when left parked in the garage all week. It's not dripping but it's clearly coming from the water pump. There is no change in coolant level & no coolant in the oil.

I'm left wondering wtf is going on as I was very meticulous doing the job & pretty confident all the bits went together correct <_<

I can't say i ever bothered looking at the 'tell tale hose' before i replaced the seals, so i'm left wondering if this is normal ?

Before i resort to the drastic measure of pulling the thing apart again, some advice would be appreciated.

There are some really good threads on this topic at http://www.sv-portal.com/forums/ Join up and do a search on "water pump seal". I just did it and there are 80 thread hits just on that topic.

There are a bunch of other good forums for the SV as well. One I used to use was Suzukisv1000.com but it appears to have vanished. It had heaps of how tos with traps and tips for the SV.

EDIT: I've not looked but there are also bound to be some help in the v-strom forums as they use the same donk.
