Doing some cold calling in Pakuranga this afternoon, thought I'd stop by the new shop and see what's up.

Tonnes of parking for the cage or bikes out the front, it's not a bad sized shop and obviously fairly off road orientated although they've got a new Repsol replica, couple of VTRs and a CBR1100 in road sports bikes in stock. Excellent range of both offroad and onroad riding apparel at very reasonable prices.

Dealers of Pirrelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, Dunlop and Metzeler tyres, full workshop facilities.

Danny and David are the chaps in the shop, both really cool guys and easy to talk to.

So, if you want a Honda (and we wont hold that against ya), pop in and say Hi.

Yip, they're just down the road from home so I have already been there, purchased a new rear Metzeler and crash bungs for the CBR, as already said, great guys, Danny was really helpful.

Well I was down there today - I think I've stolen your crash bungs V Twin Raver - was it you that decided you wanted black ones over white?

Anyway they are indeed very helpful and friendly down there, and to top it off the service guy John instantly recognized my bike as being one that he had through his workshop at Cyclespot when it came into the country. :clap:

This morning my bike broke down at the Shell S/Stn, Ti Rakau Drive, Botany. I knew I had an electrical fault with the bike today cos the 'new' battery I bought a month or so ago went flat on me and wouldn't hold its charge. In no time my speedometer & rev counter needles dropped to zero while I was riding on the motorway, then I knew it would only be a matter of time until the bike would stall and not restart. So I took a detour off the m'way at Otara and headed towards East Tamaki. I had absolutely no idea where Botany Honda (http://www.botanyhonda.co.nz/) was situated so I decided to head down to the intersection of Harris Rd & Ti Rakau Drive where at that point my bike began to splutter and konk out, so I free-wheeled over the median strip and into the service station. Phoned Telecom directory to get Botany Honda's (http://www.botanyhonda.co.nz/) number and gave them a call to ask if there was a remote chance they had a new battery for my Blackbird - they did! I then asked if someone was able to come and rescue me by bringing a semi-charged battery to me, but they said they were within walking distance from where I was at, so David walked over to me and helped push the bike (& me) down the road to the shop - now that is service!!

To cut a long story short, we discovered that my bikes regulator-rectifier is faulty and so the battery, any battery, will go flat quickly! They are coming back to me next week with a price on an aftermarket unit (Oem=$370). The new battery was already installed before we found this fault so I was able to get riding again from the charge of the new unit.

Then I jumped back on the bike and headed south into the blue skiies to meet up with Loosebruce & Co along SH22. I managed to ride for about 4 hours on the new battery before it started playing up...but I got home on it...just!
