11th June 2012, 09:36
I'll start the thread to save Fish the valuable time. 17th June Kaitoke mixed with Kart day. Unload bikes in front pit lane & park cars up the top as lower parks are paid for. Best be signed on before 8:30 so 8 is good.
Bikes will need to be nyloned & lets keep the noise of them down a bit with some muffler work.

Everyone could convert to 2 strokes, that would fix it.
I will be there, first time in ages so really looking forward to it.

Palmy Boys will be down.:Punk:
Also Lets see if we can get Skunk along (all his hard work with the Winter Series; I think he could do with a little bit of riding fun)...

I asked him about it yesterday, he said he may come along.
I think the bike is ready, just need the free time.
Totally agree it would be well deserved.

you are a brave man to believe a weather forecast this far out....
Let me guess you read Ken Ring's long-term predictions as well..:bleh::corn:
Nigel; glad to hear you will be racing as well, I'll try not to fall off in front for your camera...

And whatever Kaitoke has its own weather system, you have to just turn up & find out. Sometimes its fine when crappy elsewhere. On the other hand we've had an unprecedented string of 'the other way around'

I'm sure you all just got the email from Fish. I saw some very good news at the bottom of it.... Fishy's engine is for sale! He must have given in to all the abuse about having a bike that's too slow. Finally getting a quicker engine eh Fish? GOOD!!!

Mmmmm. Tim's got four months army wages burning a hole in his bank account - it would of course bolt straight in to replace the tired Loncin in the TZR chassis (no smart comments on Loncin's always going like they are tired).........If there's a buckets email list then I'm not on it. Will have a chat to Fish on Sunday!

Well its 'orrible & nasty now, but we should fluke some dry track time tomorrow by the looks. Load up & show up for ~8, you can always turn tail & run, but give it time & it could be a great day.

You racing your 50 or your 100, Dave? I'm still not 100% sure I'm racing. Good chance I will show up tomorrow and just see what happens (i.e. if I feel like parting with $45 to hang with a bunch of smelly bikers for a whole day). It looks like there is a very good chance it will not rain, possibly the whole day. The track will still be wet til lunch time though haha.

Hoping to make it out tomorrow. Weather looks good. I will bring a camera out and try do a couple of slow motion corners setups. Should be interesting to see what a bucket looks like into a corner at 120FPS.

I had one of the CBF'ed days yesterday but got out to watch a couple of races. Great to see some 'old timers' returning and too see new faces. Buckets in Wellington is growing big time. I reckon we need to have some kind of get together with families once the weather has warmed up.....BBQ or something cheap and easy....

Golly, first lap pass by the camera I'm looking at how close Andrew's front wheel was to my rear wheel. Maybe it was the camera angle.

Heaps of room Dave. Got a bit to close with Nick when he lost his back end. I think I did a cartwheel! Anyone have a Honda RS RUN/OFF switch? Mine got distroyed in the crash.

I'm just glad I wasn't looking behind me, but that section one has to just judge where the leading wheel will pass by.
