Feel sorry for this Mother, but how the hell do you not have contact with your kids for almost 3 years?

The last message Javed Mills' family got from him said he was living in Wellington with friends and would not be home for Christmas in 2009.

A message no less. I get twitchy after a few weeks LOL and even then I know they are ok by my clever spy network :innocent:

But last week, police delivered the devastating news that they believed Mr Mills had been killed in 2009…

Imagine how you would feel as a parent...

Poor little fella...

It's not all that uncommon. I had absolutely no contact with ANY family member for almost 10 years awhile ago. They would've had no idea what was or had happened to me.

Luckily we're all sorted now but there's a lot of things that go on within families that people wouldn't understand from the "outside"......

We've sometimes thought of quietly moving home to avoid ours :msn-wink:

Since I retired early, we travel around a fair bit, both in NZ and overseas. There's nothing more satisfying than a message on the answerphone from one of our adult kids saying, "Where ARE you?", as if we should be at their beck and call. Boot's on the other foot now - that used to be our line when they were teenagers :2thumbsup

I'm always disappointed to hear from them though, they're supposed to be enjoying the world... they've earnt it!
