People & places near Taupo?

Ray here, been a lurker of these forums for a while, I currently ride a CRF250R and my partner is on a DRZ125 untill her new bike arrives some time in the next 2 weeks!

Once it arrives we will both be on CRF205R's


anyway, we went to Desert Storm for the 2nd time this year, and often ride at Rangataike (spelling?)

But does anyone know of any other places to ride freely around Taupo?

Also if there is anyone around Taupo or comming through sing out, were always keen for a ride or just a catch up. 0276187075

I use to ride out at the pureora's (western bays) years ago, great fun if you know where the tracks are)Just moved back to taupo area so havn't had time to see if the tracks are still there. Living out at rangitaiki station so have to go riding around there first, sucks to have a 10,000 ha farm to play on ;-)
