Take a bit of preload off your springs.
Sags carefully set up by dave moss after a Robert Taylor revalve. Factory springs fine for my weight. Tyres wore nicely, just quickly!

Me too with 3911km. Were a nice tyre though!
As reported before, I got 4500ks out of a rear S20 and 8500 ks out of the replacement PP3.
Same setup and riding conditions on an R1.
S20 certainly softer but both had very similar levels of grip.

PP3 does wear well. Mind you, I changed the rear after about 5000 km when it tried to kill me.
The front was a better tyre but after 8000 km and a couple of warm summer days it flattened where the compounds join.

Rear sliding?
Admittedly my rear PP3 did let go a few times under power when near the end of life, which I put down to road conditions but also think it had to do with the pronounced lip between compounds.

without Hijacking this thread, has anyone tried Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs ?
Currently running Metzler M5s - I do not like/trust them at all when it is cold and damp.

Powering out of a corner it felt like the tyre squirmed, then slid and spun up. Then it gripped again and we made it round the corner. Not nice at all.
I also had some good slides with not much lean in slippery conditions. I put this down to the harder centre compound going too far towards the shoulder.
It might be a good tyre on the right bike and it has done well in some reviews. But not one of Michelins better efforts in my opinion - I'd prefer the PP 2CT.
