Go ahead and name a part if you can, got a box of old parts with my sidecar and they are not of any use to me I don't think, think they are all bits from its old engine(s). Will try and flick em off for a couple bucks on trademe if I can figure out what they are..

If you spot one you recognize just chuck the number of the photo in your reply so I know what you're on about.

(couple of sumps, if you can tell from the outline what engine it would fit to. one is modified - guess they made a dry sump or something)

I also have cylinders and cylinder head, 5 valve yamaha.. I think its an fzr or thunderace engine.. take photos later. got 3 sets of different cam shafts too but doubt any one can tell what they are by looking at them?

I assume you have pulled the fairings off your sidecar, and used the eyechrometer to see if any of these parts are the same as whats on the thing at the moment right? if so, engine number should narrow down model and year for the spare parts

The first half of the photos are 1989+ exup fzr1000. the gearbox if 5 speed is also. If 6 speed is 750 gearbox which is often put into the 1000 engine for closer ratio racing. The thurnderace engine is mostly the same as exup fzr other than the 1989-1990 motor has a oil filter cover(ally) then after that and into the thunderace is a turn in oil filter.
The black parts are likely 1000 genesis or 750 which would match if some gearbox swaps where done for the sidecar. Maybe the gearbox is the removed one from the 1000 and the 750 box is in the sidecar motor.

sidecar is in chch and the box of parts is down here in dunners.

the engine in the sidecar now is a thunderace motor for sure, but i think its previous engine was an fzr1000 and these parts are most prob from that previous engine or some other engine its had in it. just want to know what to write in the trademe ads :) no rush tho

plus this way people get to have fun naming random parts :)

I know the engine in it now is a thunderace unit.. and pretty sure its 6 speed, and i think all the spare bits I got in this crate come from its previous fzr motor but they could be from anything really.. they might be spares for the thunderace too.

Thuderace was 5speed also like the exup fzr1000 so if the sidecar is 6speed it has a 750 gearbox in it and you have the thunder 5speed.
