For the average person to fall asleep. So if you fall asleep in five minutes, are you below average..?

I usually fall asleep within a minute of my head touching the pillow. The rare times I do have trouble falling asleep, a shot of Mr Walker fixes that...

Within 3 or 4 minutes for me (unless Mrs Oakie is reading '50 Shades of Grey').

As long as it's not Joe Average you're above.

I've seen the first 6 minutes or so of the film "Sleepy Hollow" several times now. Fuck that first 6 minutes is boring.

Can be real quick, like a few mins, sometimes 30 or more. Sometimes I nod of into a real deep sleep but after about 3 or so hours wake up and cant get back to sleep... then get pissed of, toss and turn for ages so get up for an hour or two then try again or just go for a run then start work early.

Trust me, after a week with 8 to 10 hours sleep waking up is not fun.

I found exercise helped me greatly with my sleeping issues, but mine were due to anxiety.

Performance anxiety perhaps, hence the little blue pills.;)

I was given sleeping pills to try once but they are horrible things! I retrained myself and one of the biggest helps was making a deliberate decision to stop the mind thinking, being too active.

Of course some may accuse me of forgetting to start again...

Ive tried sleeping pills. They make you feel worse than having no sleep. 4 hours sleep last night= win.

Healthy food, plenty of exercise and 15 min of meditation a day should fix most insomnia. Some nights I only sleep 1 or 2 hrs and still feel great.

Mrs. Bear would opine that there is no evidence of this whatsoever... :pinch:
