So i pulled upto another gn250 this morning and it had the usual mods, motorcross handle bars, sr250 seat but i couldnt figure out what the tank was from. I could do with a larger capacity tank on mine, so any suggestions for bigger tanks that will swap straight over?3

I doubt you'll find anything that just bolts on. The good news is the mount at the front is easy to modify and making a rear mount is a walk in the park.
I'm considering a late 70's Kawasaki KZ440/650 etc tank for my GN, no idea if it'll fit, but I'll bash the prick till it does.
I'll take anything though :devil2:
The standard GN tank is pretty small :(

Gn's have a 12L tank, 9L to reserve.

Surely 12 litres would take it around 300kms?

He would be due for a break after 300 km's on a GN250 ...

I've never run one dry, but my current one is managing 3.6L/100km average while it had a rooted headgasket and rings.
