I'm after some classic style mufflers, something similar to these, don't need to be loud.

Motomail used to get similar to that pretty cheap.
Whats it for? because if its for the GN I can tell you the old mans 3ta ones weigh a ton and would slow that poor bike down.

Yup fir the GN. I'm not worried about weight really...I just got rid of some from it and the speed limit is 100...:innocent:

I bumped into the back of a very nice old triumph bonnie - so I know first hand u can buy a set of 2 of these mufflers for around the 200 mark :D I bent his ones up a bit when I tagged the back of him.. the old er-6 kwakas accelerate a bit better than I thought.. and the bonnies don't..
Just get a small 'hotdog' resenator from pitstop or some place like that.

Wanting fairly slim ones for a scrambler style set up, that 300cc kit has to breathe :bleh:
Drew, your idea may be a wee bit loud... I hate the sound of small, loud and lazy singles

Forbes and davies list a triumph muffler- p#448.0009 which looks like what you want.
You'd need to talk to a local shop to order it for you I guess

Thanks Paul and Frosty, I have my eye on a few items currently. Playing the waiting game as I always do
That muffler is perfect Frosty, but a bit far out of my budget, it's a custom GN250, not a real bike :2thumbsup:

I was considering a set of shorty megaphones but, going from my last experience, they'll be hella loud.

Not if you put a silencer in the collar,as you will need to make up a collar as the GN header will be way too small for the size of the spacer provided with the muffler...

Won't be on original headers, going to be new from the head back, but that's a good idea with the silencer...I should have realised.
Those Speedmotoco mufflers (them cheaper ones) are bloody neat looking

$190 is a lot of coin for mufflers on a GN ;) I'm not going to spend that much.
