I have found some forks off a rm 80 1994 and want to put them in Klx 140

maybe with some machining work, but they will not be to much better than the ones you already have in there, you need later model USD forks to make a difference ,

You will need to measure the stanchion diameter then the width of the front axle , diameter of the axle etc, if the stanchions are the same size less machining will be required to get them to fit. Front wheel spacers are easily made to fit the front wheel/axle. Next does the brake caliper and disc match up? again spacers may be required.
Have always found when modifying bikes it's best/easiest to stick to the parent bikes brand when fitting upgrades of this nature , have fitted a KX125 complete front end to a KDX250 it didn't require any mods was just a simple bolt up.
