A good bike? I'm a learner. would parts be available, given that its an old model?
Any advice appreciated.

They're a great bike with a decent frame & make more power than the new VT....parts seem to be available ( EconoHonda are good for that) even though they were made only for the Jap market there are quite a few imported around.
Pretty bombproof really, though you should always keep them up in the upper range of the oil level

Ask Ducatilover, I think he had one for a while and farkled with it a bit. He was quite fond of it IIRC.

If there is such a thing as the perfect learner's motorcycle, the Spada would be it.
Useful power, reliable, excellent handling, easy to ride round town and very good in the twisties...what more could anyone want

I've had two and I think they're awesome bikes. Fast enough to keep things interesting and as easy to ride as real bikes get. I never had an issue with parts but then I didn't have to replace anything other than consumables.

I still have a VTZ (1 year earlier than the spada) which I do the daily commute on and its a brilliant little bike. +1 on econohonda for bits too.

NO. never heard of them. Terrible Honda bike that will make you sing A-Ha songs out loud in petrol stations and people will call you "ghey" but pronounce it g-hey because they are from Upper Hutt.

:2thumbsup Yup.
I did a few kms on it.
If you want to know anything specific, ask.
Parts are easy/cheap, the majority of parts in them change over with other Hondas.
Best learner bike one can buy

This one just listed on TM... apart from the goofy little hat on the headlight... looks in good nick.

$2500 though..... probly not quite....

I sat on a 400 Bros last week and if the 250 version is anything like it, then it's a cracker of a bike. Loved it so much, wished the seller would have taken two payments [just a week apart] for it as I could only do it that way at that time. Unfortunately he couldn't, I was so gutted.

Tsk tsk, the Spada has nothing to do with a Bros :bleh: but yes, excellent bikes (don't make as nice a noise though)
