Looks to be a nice bike, IMO in once mastered it will smoke(no pun intended) the 2504t x things. The 125 will be lighter for a start. As for the power, 125's go hard on the pipe(read powerband), yet even off the pipe they will still pull you along nicely and in the gnarly stuff you can pick through it with ease. Another thing I've noticed about 125's is that in soft muddy areas, i.e swamps, the 125 will mostly ride over it, whereas the 4t will sink and bulldoze it. Me.. i'd take the gasser. but thats me, I have a soft spot for 125's.

Not ridden a crf250x, but have spent plenty of time on a wr250f... I love the wr, it's a huge, huge grin factor bike. So easy to ride, power is enough for most situations (won't pull your arms off, but it's enough). Also handles great, although if you're the wrong side of 100kg (like I am), you will bottom out the forks off even the smallest jump.
However, the Gas Gas should be lots of fun as well, once you've spent time learning how to ride a 125 2T, you will be fast on anything.

Looking at your sig pic you don't look 90kg on the other hand I wished i only looked 100kg but alas no.:(
as for a 125, scott411 still races one, albeit an MX bike, so I can't see why the GG wont last, it comes down to how you ride, eg.... you fall off alot, your a competent trail rider, or you looking at do something abit more serious,
I love my WR, the weight factor may be the down side for the like of your self being you say your only 14.

ill never reccomend a gas gas for anyone (or anything other than a Kawasaki) but most poeple know why,
as for a 125, they will take you anywhere, and if they can haul my 6 foot tall 90kg ass around you will be fine,

Tawny just turned 14 and is around 50kg and has been riding her WRF for over a year. She loved the electric start. But since riding my RMZ with rekluse there is no looking back. It's all light 4T MX for her now. She does all the red trails at the 'pit and expert sections at WMCC with total confidence on the RMZ. We just sold the WRF for $2800 on TM. Time to look for an MX to replace the WRF now. The WRF/CRFX/GG125 are good beginner level bikes.

You could buy the GG and paint it Green, OR Blue / actually Green & Blue , that way Scott and Barty would be happy......(ish)
How long the bike lasts is obviously proportional to how much riding you do and how cheap it is to maintain, so this is the catalyst for another 4t vs 2t "discussion" (That particular ec125 takes a kx 125 piston or a cr125 can't remember exactly but some [insert piss easy to get] one)
If you are maintaining it yourself, I would go 2t as someone with modest income should be able to cope with the odd piston and ring at 60 to 100 hours ....etc: etc:
I know the history of the bike you have linked to, it has only ever had 1 break down at a ride and that was from a fouled plug.
Dam excellent bike for a smallish rider IMO

She loved the power of it. It was also geared at 13:53 so the lowend grunt was awesome. There is a video of her on youtube getting some good air and wasting me on the MX track. As for hill climbing it was a tractor. Could climb anything. Sad to see it go actually. But we must move onward. The WRF weighs 105ish kg and the RMZ 92kg. With the Rekluse it means I can let her take off ahead of me without being concerned she will get stuck in a washed out gnarly root on a steep hill. It just never stalls and keeps traction in any gear on any corner. In fact I can't keep up with her now when she rides the RMZ. scary really!!
I hope you find a decent bike you like and to see you out there! Tawny is always looking for a riding companion!!

Ha, you're being too kind... much like the photo. I'm more stocky than fat, but still fat. But the WR still hauled me around at a fair pace, it certainly wasn't struggling to move me.

Here's a pic of her getting some air up at Dome on the WRF. It kept her happy close to 18 months. Before that she had a CR80.
