Ok Norfies. The Battle of the buckets needs our participation! Not because it won't run, - it will regardless. The reason is; it is a soddin' good event.

Its barely 2 months away so we need to get A into G & book a space in the bus.

A few years back we got a doz people down there & it was a huge laugh. The track is good fun & you'll need 2or 3 teeth extra on the front, but there is still a lot of skill to ride the track, it isn't just an open blast.

email Andrew (Skunk) at

race@vicclub.co.nz

to book a space, or ask a question.

I'd be scared if Dave was driving to, have you seen the way he rides?

How'd you go? Do we need to alert border control to a bus full of hairy bikers heading this way?

Cheers

I've been reading Hunter S. Thomson's "Hell's Angels". Maybe that's a good call.

OK well I'm booked in & have my life sorted out (if not my bike yet).

I'm coming down in the van with Daves bucket. I've booked a van and trailer on the ferry but without someone else there'll only be Daves bike. I don't have the money to do the trip and finish the bike...

want to borrow a 4 stroke? :clap:Thanks for the offer, but I can't afford to break it.

I have the Van and Trailer booked. Out of 9 who said 'maybe' and one who said 'yes' I have one going. That's 10%...

Come on people! If you want things arranged (like Buckets on the back track at Manfeild, more two dayers at Kaitoke...) you'll have to show better commitment than this.

4 weeks guys, so there is time to save up & really its not that expensive for probably the funnest race of the year.

Can prob organise billeting if can't stretch to accom, the SI guys are really keen to get us down there,

Great event. Not looking good for me this year but maybe. Invested in going down the last 2 years and worth every penny. Good times, great people and amazing racing. My favorite corner for sure is the transition back onto the back straight.

There was probably some warning label on the bouncy castle instructions so they don't get sued.

The best I can do is another endorsement, going down in 2008 was a real blast. Wish I could do it again but the planet alignment is inauspicious this year.
