Hi folks,
Absolute top of the line Arai Helmet Rx7-GP.
If you're looking at this ad then you'd know what kinda helmet this is ;)
Absolutely stunning looking helmet especially in race rep graphic.
Size M
Brand new, never ridden in, still have box, instruction and warranty card (not yet registered).
Bought last week, but wife has been giving me all kinda nag ever since I took it out of the box.
(I've purchased 2 other helmets recently)
So the Baus has given me the ultimatum to get it out of her sight asap :(
Letting this go is a lost :(
However, my lost is your gain :)

Sigh... I completely get what u'r saying, but let's not go down this road my man.
It'd only end up in headache and more lost to us.
I figured it'd be a whole lot easier to sell the item since it's still brand new and surely, someone might just benefit from this whole ordeal.

I purchased mine two months ago in Wgtn from a dealer for $850 - there are defiitely some good deals going!

$850 for a brand new RX7-GP sounds like a bloody awesome deal !!
Especially when the best price I can get on a Quantum Oriental graphic was $1100
Staff discount ?

No, I just rocked up and asked nicely. Another dealer had a sale on, which is a good time to start asking for price checks.
Apparently there is a bit of a price battle in place in Wgtn at the moment regarding Pirelli - it certainy pays to ring around for a good price, and then ring around again for a final price :msn-wink:
It is an excellent helmet, so I would recommend your helmet to anyone who is considering it.

Thank you!
It is indeed an outstanding helmet in every aspect.
Feels balance, plush and comfortable, with ultra wide visibility.
Can't really comment on the noise, air flow and aerodynamic probability as I'm not taking it on the road, but I'm sure they'r all superb too.
Gimme a buzz and I might be able to drop the $$$ a tiny bit to get this all behind me and not having to look at it in despair everyday.

To my surprise, apparently you can twist dealers' arms to get these lids for between $900 - $1,000
This is to my detriment as I quite stupidly only ask for a couple of hundreds dollars off from the RRP.
So I've been forced to lower my sell price further :(
You can pick this up from me for $800 :weep:

It is still a brand new helmet, has not been taken on the road, still with box, warranty and everything.
The only thing I managed to do was to play around with it in the living room for a lil bit.
I will start listing on trademe tomorrow, but much prefer to sell it to you forum guys ;)

You're a retailer?
So you're saying it'd cost you more than 900 to get one in ur store?
Well,I'll up my trademe list price, and I'll leave that $800 price just for the forum peeps then.
An absolutely bargain @ $800 by the sound of things
Thanks for telling me.

Yep.
Whilst Dold Industries are specialling some Arais at the mo, it's only selected models/sizes. Normal cost is well over your price.

sorry to take this OT, (its a free bump though...) but the saga of me wanting an Arai Freddie Spencer replica and not being able to get it (yet I could get the Schwantz rep) was apparently due to NZ getting Arais for one market, and Australia (where I got my FS rep) getting Arai's for another. Europe models vs US models or something.
Do you know if that is true or what the differences are? From memory my Arai FS rep is a Corsair whch was not available in NZ. I ended up getting it at Peter Stevens in Melbourne. Its ended up being the most expensive helmet in NZ but whatever.
