Helped a couple of newbies with repairs.

Just simple stuff. Chain and sprocket and a general service check. Funny thing is these people have yet to log in since.
Dont think ill bother helping new members. I checked logs and they havent visited since the repairs were done.

You said call first, I haven't.

The manifold is gonna have to wait, and I'll run two carbs for a bit. The way the carbs mount to the barrels on the GT motor is gonna make manifold building interesting.

Maybe you need to ask yourself why you are going out of your way to help these people. Are there conditions attached to your helping them? Help should be given freely, with no expectation of anything in return, otherwise it will be emotionally taxing on yourself with feelings of resentment usually following.:bleh: When I am helping some one,it is purely selfish. I feel good when I help someone out, I dont care weather they are grateful or not, at least I feel good.:headbang::headbang:

The other downside is people then start recommending ya to all and sundry who need shit done on their bikes. I'm still getting FB messages from people I've never heard of "Oh such and such said you'd do my fork seals for a box of Heinekens...." I've been dry for 6 months!

Just seems weird to join a forum and get helped out then stop visiting the forum. Maybe they will return when they need more help.

Doesnt worry me but next time my help will be to point out a bike shop that they can use.

I agree with you.
There are a group of youths that will take all you give them, & dissapear with out a trace, or a thankyou.
save it for those that mean something to you.

Did they thank you at the time you helped them out?

If they did, I can't quite figure out what you're moaning about.
