Hello,

I am enquiring in where people might buy there K&N Air Filters for Motorcycles from?

We have them here - Well priced. I think!!? http://www.knfilter.co.nz

But what I would like to know is - Are our prices dare, fair or cheap?

If there dare? Where do you buy cheaper? ( Do you prefer to buy from likes or Amason etc or someone cheaper here in NZ? )

Just trying to know and make sure that our prices are good

Best regards,

There is no way I would buy off a website that has no physical contact details and no substantial information about the company running it.

Prices on stuff I'd be interested in doesn't look too bad though, but as above I wouldn't use a site I didn't trust.

Atrocious grammar would lose my business to begin with, the prices would also lose it, and finally, a lack of contact info and buyer trust makes it 0 for 3! I suspect I'm not the target customer though, as I think foam pods are better anyway...

Valid point regarding the contact details thanks.

Reason why website has no details is because it is ment to be self manageable. Though taking into account what some of you have said ( negative and positive ) Will sort it. Appreciated!!

Price - Where in NZ can you buy it cheaper? Not over sea's. But NZ.

Are filters dispatched as soon as they're ordered or do you have to get them in from overseas first?

Anything listed is in stock. The website shows stock for each product. There is also a trademe link (on each product) going to our trademe (not all filters are on our trademe / because there are to many to list) The trademe link also works as reassurance (who we are and our feed back rating)

K&N Currently have 5400+ Different part numbers. It is impossible to stock everything kn usa have available. If there is a part number someone wants we bring it in by sea or air. Depending on how urgent the filter requested is.

Because of the forums concerns/comments - We will be adding further contact details to NZ Air Filter's contact page http://nzairfilter.co.nz/help.php?section=contactus

What about air/oil filter for a 2001 1200s Bandit?

When I type the key word "bandit" into nz air filter online it comes up with the following part numbers:

K&N oil filter (KN-138) Arcitic, Aprilia, Cagiva, Kymco, Suzuki (http://nzairfilter.co.nz/oil-filter/kn-138-c.html)
NZ$15.88

K&N Replacement Air Filter, Suzuki Bandit, GSF650, GSF1200, GSX1250FA 05/11 (SU-6505) (http://nzairfilter.co.nz/motorcycle/su-6505.html)
NZ$84.23

K&N Universal Rubber Air Filter, Suzuki Bandit, Suzuki Katana (http://nzairfilter.co.nz/motorcycle-air-filter/ru-2922.html) 87/03 (RU-2922) here?
NZ$124.01

K&N oil filter (KN-138-C) M20 x 1P, Arcitic, Aprilia, Cagiva, Kymco, Suzuki (http://nzairfilter.co.nz/oil-filter/kn-138.html)
NZ$17.46

Again - there are just far to many kn motorcycle filters available. It is impossible to stock everyone. But I am trying and do bring them in quickly when not listed

killapotatoe

It's $5.00 using an NZCouriers E20 Bag. Big filters I use a E60 bag and there $15.00 including GST. NZCouriers are over night delivery.

I'm currently looking for a air filter for a 1996 VFR750 (Part- HA-0003 and of course cleaner & oil for it)

-non listed on your site to judge price, but I truly doubt ANY!! NZ retailer can beat the price of imported (Ebay, U.S bike shop etc...plus euro is dirt cheap right now ;))

(To be honest...I have practically given up sourcing parts for bikes within NZ due to the ridiculous prices, but I would LOVE to be proven wrong)

Good on ya for sharing the site and asking us about price's :niceone:

That filter went up 27% on July the 1st from K&N USA (http://www.knfilter.co.nz) Head Quarters. Some part numbers went of 0% and then others ( like customer webers etc ) went up as far as 65%!!

That filter flown in would be $139.00 NZD Delivered ( including GST )

Here is a part number I flew in specially for someone - http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=ha-0004
Due to some of the ages of motorcycles. I can't afford to stock a lot of the older filters. Theres just not enough of them about on the road requiring K&N.

Thing with Ebay and Amazon is that most of the traders are in USA and there fighting with one another and literally making $2.00 on a filter! Just to get that sale!! Most of them make more money charging "you" freight than they do off the actual product and the freight many traders/customers choose is 14-28 day air freight. Most cases can go missing or turn up 3 months later after you have forgotten about it.

Thats a pritty competitive price actually  (I would never have expected you to have a 1996 air filter in stock)

...and most of us are well aware of the issues of importing parts, paitence and commonsence will cover most of those problems.

Many thanks for the feed back...might place an order once my bonus from work comes through in August ;)

I'm all for buying NZ new, but have also bought plenty of stuff online (for bikes) that I couldn't get easily in NZ. I've bought dozens and dozens of things, and have never had anything take longer than a couple of weeks. So I'd have to disagree that 'most cases' things go wrong. Especially with Ebay, which offers the buyer protection program, which refunds you if things go wrong.

In saying that, you offer a service that is worth an extra cost. (And not that much extra it seems)

Thank you, I just realised you can search by keyword.
Might want to change that search box from displaying "Enter part number" to something else?

This filter is $125.00 delivered to your door. Most of the cost in that price is air freight from kn to me and then to you.

I have stuff being flown over in 4 days. So if you would like one just message me through page (http://nzairfilter.co.nz/help.php?section=contactus) Thank you
