Funny how I can get up at 4.30am for racing but cant get up at 7.00am for school  after a six week break I was buzzing to get out on the bike again!
Qualifying
I went out in mid pack, I didnt know how well I would do but I tried my best to get my head in the 'zone' again. I qualified in 11th with a 1.38
Race 1
My start was average and I saw Zane (#103 streetstock) go past dammit, but then I caught up to Rogan (#72 streetstock) on the start line, he soon got away. I tried not to let Zane get to far ahead but he was .6 of a second faster then me per lap. I was battling with myself for nearly the whole race trying to keep up with the riders ahead. I got down to a 1.35 crossing the line in 4th in streetstock, not to bad.
Race 2
I got to the dummy grid and went to change into neutral.. but the bike wouldnt let me change gear while the bike wasnt rolling. I talked to dad and he said I should be fine, but if the bike begins to play up pull in. Out to the warm up lap and the bike was going fine but left it in first gear on the gird so I knew it wouldnt be stuck in neutral. The lights went out and hello no response to the clutch :eek5: I watched as Roman (#65 streetstock) went past me, after a little playing around I was off not to far behind the others. I put my head down and concentrated on picking one person off at a time. I passed two 250s and was determined to get passed Roman before the end of the race. I managed to catch up and battled with him for a lap and a half until I pulled slightly ahead. I crossed the line 4th in streetstock with a 1.35, its consistant.
During lunch my cluth cable was changed as the other one had had it. We also had a talk with Steve Bagshaw (Moto Academy) about our day so far.
Race 3
Well.. you would think that my start would be way better with a proper working clutch, wrong. It was better but my starts still need work, tends to be my weakest point. Roman got ahead of me into turn one but I got past through the in-field, he then got past me on the middle straight, I was to far behind him by the smallest amount to make a really good pass up the inside in Higgins. It basicly repeated this the whole race, I would catch him in corners and he would pull away in straights. Roman crossed the line just before me. I finished 5th in streetstock with a new PB of 1.34 :D
Overall it was a pretty good day, I know where I can improve and make up more time next round. I would like to thank my sponsors and supporters: Ride Life, Moto Academy, Victoria MCC, DP Brake pads, Heidenau Tires, WIZ knee sliders and the volunteers for helping and making it a good day.
