Was so happy to finally wake up on the morning of race day to see clear skies. although it was still pitch black being 5am in the morning.

After finally getting the bike back from the shop only a couple days prior due to the crash, I wasn't expecting big things out of it knowing that the front forks were still way to soft. But as I've always told myself IT IS NEVER THE BIKES FAULT.

Qualifying:

As usual I knew that qualifying is never my strongest point, so went out and reminded myself of the fast lines around the course and for the first few laps decided to take it easy just to get a time in after what happened at the last meeting. Happily knowing I had 3 laps left to try and improve on that time (thank god to the new 5lap warm up/qualifying) I tried to push my speed into the corners and tried to break later into corners and with my speedo still connected could compare my top speeds down the straights. After finishing the session I managed to qualify with a best of 1:32.470 which isn't my best qualifying time but good enough to put me up into sixth on the grid and only a couple of meters behind Rogan who I know I could out launch and beat into the first corner.

Race 1:

After the lights went out I managed to get right up behind one of the minilight 250's and pushed hard behind him into the first corner and easily in front of Rogan. After staying close to the minilight through till the hairpin I knew I couldn't keep up with him on the straight so didn't try any late breaking to catch up. After thinking I was by myself for the next few laps all of a sudden Aaron comes flying past me, Which started to slow me down into the corners and tried some passing that did not work to my advantage and seemed to let Rogan catch up to me and pass me on the last lap. Knowing my strongest point over Rogan was the last corner I knew that that was the only corner I could make a move on him without stuffing myself up. So coming into the corner close behind him I knew I had far more corner speed and took a daring line going around the outside of Rogan around the apex of the corner and taking the win.
This gave me a best time of 1:29.574 which was average considering my best is almost a second and a half faster.

Race 2:

Another good start put me up in front of the streetstocks trailing the 250's. Having an open track in front of me for almost the whole race I tried braking for the shortest time possible before heading into a corner to try carrying as much corner speed as possible. Also this time I had my phone sitting in my bike's boot using its GPS to track my top speed. After staying in front for almost the whole race, Aaron comes flying past on the same corner he got me last time an managed to stay in front till the end of race but still managed to take another win in the streetstock. Although still a 1:29.283 was better than my last race and manged to beat Rogan by almost 5 seconds.

Race 3:

Getting another good start I was leading the streetstocks again until early on Aaron managed to pass me which caused me to battle with him for most of a lap until I made a few mistakes on some corners that caused me to fall behind a bit and let Rogan pass me. After trying time and time again to make the same move as I did in the first race didn't manage to get passed Rogan and ended in second for the race but with the battles with Rogan managed to push my time down to a 1:28.261 which is only 0.1 of my PB in which I was happy with.

Overall it was a great weekend for me taking the win overall in streetstock and making up 3 points on Rogan to be 9 points behind him for the season with another 3 rounds still to go. Although still having problems with the bikes soft suspension hopefully before the next race I can manage to fix it.

Great stuff David. Your battles with Rogues were a highlight of the day for me. Keep it up man. You can both go fasterer.

Good report, shows good insight into what you are doing - very important if you want to keep getting faster, and you certainly seem to have ability. Well done, great weekend! :scooter:
