Nice work as ever. Anyone would think we spent more time crashing than racing.

Well, yes, there was a lot of crashing - I have many more crash photos! Still, many defied the odds, and finished well. I'm glad I was there just to take photos! The bike was snug in the garage at home :).

Love your work Damien. Really like the one of the guy on the on the green mototrad on the deck all dynamic and crashing. The other 2 just standing there stairing at him like, (why you doing that) moment captured. Do you have a 5D 3 yet. I will be buying one next month hopefully. Would be interested on your review if you have one.

Hi Richard
Yes, for me the 5DMKIII was well worth the significant investment.
Key factors:
• Top pro autofocus - much better for motorcycle racing.
• Image quality, especially in low light (way better than MKII).
• Proper auto-ISO in manual mode (I use this most of the time, unless shooting panoramas).
• Takes 2 memory cards with flexible configuration.
• Built-in HDR with auto judgement on bracketing - easy to switch to and from HDR mode with custom menu.
• 100% viewfinder coverage
• Viewing screen larger with more pixels - looks much better and can set instant one-button zoom to 100%!
• Mode button locks.
• Quieter shutter mode.
• Feels better with the memory card door not moving as it did on the MKII.
• The 6 frames per second is also useful.
I’d never go back to a MKII. Sold mine to my brother and got his 7D.
I have not played at all with the new video features on the MKIII.
Regards
