I bought the bike as thig pic shows.

Plate light just used the wires from the stock plate light, which was ofc disconnected and the plate was bolted on to the pillion peg holes.
Was a little suspicious but it just had got a warrant the day before the trade so didn't worry.
A few weeks later I got pulled over by a motorcycle cop, did the same old 'Licence please', I was quite smug as I actually had my full by that time.
He gave the bike a look over while chatting, I was almost late for work so was kinda anxious but didnt want to press it as im not really sure how
to hurry a cop along. Then he mentioned the plate, I told him it had just got a warrant as is, he wasnt happy, said it had to be vertical and illuminated and easily readable from the rear.
As it was I couldnt get done by the pole speed cameras.
Thankfully he gave me a week to fix it.
I went to bunnings and bought a few brackets and some bolts. Bent the brackets a bit needed to tax a vice and hammer to do it as they were tough
, and switched the plate around and done. easy as.
Now can put on the pillion stuff easily aswell.
New setup. all up was about $10, bolts and brackets.

Bike is dirty as hell, have not been able to clean it recently. so much rain whenever i get a free day.
Cant remember what my actual point of this post was but,
Was the initial setup actually illegal?
and
Do many others have the fender eliminator setups? and have they had much law truoble with them?
