Hey guys, someone ran off with my bike last night (The night of 3rd of august - 4th august).
The bike was parked on 33 hunter street, so right downtown wellington. A part of the visor was left behind, so someone shattered that before they hauled it off. It's an older bike but has a fair amount of sentimental value.

Will keep an eye out for sure, its a noticable bike with that coloring.
OT: Curious question, since you no other countries are close by. What happens to stolen motorbikes? In Europe they transport them to other countries to sell there, here Im thinking that is too much of a hassle for scumbag thieves.

Something like that isnt valuable enough to send overseas but may end up with road gear removed, home paint added and up the back hills riden offroad or sold in parts.
Some high end bikes have been taken in Welly lately and one would assume could have been sent overseas.
If see it on tard me report it or we could arrange a viewing perhaps.:ar15:

There used to be a pretty big trans-tasman trade in stolen Harleys. Now they are as common a everything else so possibly theres no point.

Watching [I]Coastwatch[I] a few years ago they mentioned that stolen ATVs were used in poaching operations, maybe used for the same or checking dope plantations?
More likely some cock has blown a motor & wants a spare. I can't believe you'd get such arseholes riding a KLR tho.
Hope it turns up for you bro.

Not good, advertise for a similar bike in the wanted section to the one you've lost on TM and suggest a cash payment and etc... Any responses make sure you take your camera with you before you visit....
You won't catch a fish till you put your hook in the water...
