.... With a CBR f3 mostly due to wanting a CBR600 and that this one has the retro look I like and a cool colour scheme (it has also been very well maintained) but being a chick who doesn't really want something that will give me any problems am I going to wish that I bought a more modern bike, or a lighter one? The older ones look a bit heavier than the later model ones.... How will the f3 run compared to the later models are. I really only wanna spend about $6k.

Typically Honda's are reliable, but every bike is different. We're likely to need much more information than the model of the bike. KM, history, photos or link to bike to see what condition it is in would be the minimum.

F4 was the best of those before Honda got serious about track performance. The F4 was and still is a benchmark for real road usability and fun with a not too radical riding position. Pretty much bulletproof too.

The F3/4/4i are all bloody excellent bikes, very reliable with the exception of regulator/rectifier issues (but they'll die eventually, regardless of what bike)
They're very smooth, very easy to ride and comfy.

I could do that DarkWolf... If some guy called Ian hadn't beaten me to buying it! It has done 40clicks that I can remember. I'm going to have to go to him and see how much he's willing to give it up for or try and get over it.
Thanks for your replies, useful about the f4s
