Looks like too many testicles have been found on the shot put winner so disqualified.

It's just a pity that cheat stole the moment for one of our true inspirational sport stars.

Yeah, that was the thing that got me. Val loses out on the whole stadium cheering, hearing the anthem etc. Would feel a bit robbed over that, but I'd imagine the guy's career is over. Once a drugs cheat, always a drugs cheat...

+1 to both. Hope they put on a great welcome home for her, and the rest of course.

New Zealand chef de mission Dave Currie admits it is "extraordinarily unlikely" that Val Adams will be presented with her shot put gold medal at the Olympic team's homecoming celebration in Christchurch on August 24, and he reckons it could even take months.
Sucks. Why such a delay? Haven't they got spares or something or is this story premature, like do they have to have appeals and retests?
The Belarusian has gone back to the wilds of Belarus so it could take some time to get it back. Until that gold medal is retrieved, we can't plan on anything.
Love the comment about the "wilds of Belarus"

mores the pity the performance she put up with by getting a silver.
Kiwis need to learn that when two people/teams go onto the field that one is going to win and one is going to be second (unless it's a draw of course) and second is still honourable and a very worthy acheivement and something to be proud of in it's own right.

I saw somewhere that there was a suggestion of doing the medal presentation at Twickenham when the all blacks play.
That will give her the cheer she deserves.
