Suspension guru?

Hi fellow bikers. Does anyone know of a suspension guru, amateur or professional, in the Auckland area, who can service and/or set up my suspension for me?

I would ride my bike to anywhere in the country to get the suspension set spot on. Shaun did wonders for my GSXR. Since he is in Aussie, I will be paying Robert a visit (once I get a new bike...), I'm sure he knows his stuff too. I have tried myself a few times, but just can't get the same results that the experienced guys can.

I rode my GSX-R from Auckland down to New Plymouth to get it re-valved. Setting up the stock suspension is easy enough if you just watch Dave Moss's stuff on Youtube. But if you want it to really work properly, then depending on your weight you might want to get it re-valved a bit.
I rode down on Thursday afternoon, meeting my cousin with his Daytona part way, and we mooched around New Plymouth while Robert and Dennis did their thing on our bikes, and then rode home again Friday afternoon. It wasn't the cheapest mod I've made to my bike, but it sure was the best, and the ride there and back was sweet.

Do you just want o get the static sag and dampening sorted- or are you wanting to spend a coupla grand?

I completely agree, but it's not what OP asked. I'm actually seeing Rob on 03/09 for work...

Aiden (probably spelt that wrong), at Takanini Yamaha is supposed to be "the bees knees" for bike setup. Spent time in Aussie as a tech on a superbike team I am told.
havn't tried him out yet, but will be once my racebike is back on track.

Warren Bridger in Glen Eden did my suspension on the cbr600, he does race bikes also :-P knows what he's talking about - 09 8361547
