I was gonna put this in General Bike Ravings but thought I'd be pinged for placing it in the wrong forum. Again. So I figured it might be safe here...

Spring must be close. We've had three days fine mild weather. Which prompted me to ride each day.

Nothing like a blast through the cool of the morning on a sunny day, despite a few damp bits in the shady spots.

Amazing how many slips there were after recent torrential downpours - Ohautira road (very southern end of sh22) has pretty much fallen in at one point.

Glad I still have the bike. Close to selling a few times there to make ends meet. Fortunately my kids have seen fit to help me through the morass of a closed business at the hands of the recession - or depression more like. Thanks, kids.

Glad you're still on two wheels!

I've ridden through most of winter and I have to say except for some really bad days, it's been OK. I made sure I was well padded against the cold - those pies help...

Dawned on me awhile ago that when the chips are down having a bike in the garage for the occasional blast is more worthwhile than when the good times are rolling. Amazing how a nice run puts a brighter perspective on things. Good on ya kids.

You a Hindu?

Thought we saw you yesterday while having a breakfast at the Oparau Roadhouse, but alas, it was someone else, I said to Anne that you are probably on your way to Ragaln for a short black.

It was indeed myself. I wondered if that was you guys in there actually. Sadly, I was on a tight timetable and had to turn round at that point so as to get back to The Tron in time to head up to d'Auckland for our usual 2.5 hours of tuition. As it was, it was sadly necessary to go like hell to make the deadline...(coughcough:innocent:)

There was also a Laxed Out Ride heading over to Kawhia yesterday as well as a classic group. Saw the LOR on my way home too (I think).

One of these days I will get a free Sunday...

We did see a group of bikes (older/classic) heading in on our way out...what a beaut bit of road for bikes that is!...all 40 odd K of it.
Conditions were perfect yesterday.

I certainly like that stretch of road. Pity about the corrugations in all the corners.

The hill section of the Raglan road has been resealed recently with hotmix. Now THAT is good to ride :devil2:
