Bump again. Maybe the trailer would interest someone. I have a trade in offer on the ZX14r im looking at buying.

Trailer sale seperate at 1400 incudes wiring jack and harness. May need hitch shaft altered to suit another bike. You would need a hollow bike axel. Best to have over 14mm hollow in it.

The zx14r axel hollow is small so I will build a different trailer design for it later or adapt this one if it doesnt sell.

Does the trailer come with it's own 1700cc powerplant?

Only my driveway's really really steep.

I make my wife push if I get stuck.
Still does wheelies with the trailer on if that helps. Hypothetically based on advanced calculations. One lady owner!!!

Its hard enough to sell the bike without trying to offload a high km poor condition wife that requires rebuilt and is very high maintence.:devil2:

I have a guy offering zzr1100 plus 9k cash for the mt01. What do you think the zzr with 30k is worth as a trade or quick sale?
Ill most likely sell it or trade it prior to getting a zx14r.

Dunno. You'd think $5k orta see it gone pretty quick if it's as nice as it looks in the pic.

Not a bad bit of kit, either, the prospect of using it for a month or two while you shop for something else ain't too horiffic.

Thanks T my search only pulled the 3.6 black one with high kms.
I might have had it searching Wellington area only.

Looks like a good deal and it will do me for a while till perhaps January when the zx14 happens.

Yes im thinking I could ride it for a while and trade it or sell it as soon as we have a new house.
It will be easier to get a good deal doing a trade with a 4k bike instead of 12-13k.
Im thinking at 4k on tard it might sell fast and leave me in the new bike no trade in market for maybe some free or discounted shiz as a deal.

I used ZZR100 as the keyword in my search. Three came up .... the black one, a near new one. and the one with the link I gave.

I wouldn't be ashamed to own that zzr1100 .. and one with 40,000 km's less, I would be quite happy with.

Yeah I had the selection on sports and the 4.5 is in touring.
I had a early zx10 and it was a great 2 up bike.
The zzr would be good to cruise around on and a bit easier to trade if not sold on tard me.
Sounds like the 4 k trade he is after is a good price that a bike shop would give me for it on a new zx14r soon.

A lot of tests found the ZZR is better in mid range than the early model ZX14,s you may just find that you keep the ZZR, I still have mine.

I went to see motorad today after work and the guy hadnt contacted them to get a approx trade value.
They said they would be just as happy to take the mt01 as a trade even though its dearer.
I guess the only factor would be do I think I could sell the zzr1100 quickly at 4k plus.

The 2012 1441cc zx14 has alot more power through the whole range than the earlier ones.

I also found out there is 3 black abs ones left at kawasaki nz (plus whats already in shops) and if it gets down to one I can give the shop a couple of G deposit and they will stock it for me.

Best bet would be to ring Brendon at Motorad and get his email and send him some photos and details so he can value it and give you a swap over difference in price.

I haven't seen a direct comparison as in dyno chart to compare earlier 14's to the new one but a friend of mine and I did a top gear roll on test between the new one and my 2007 model done 62000km (with two brothers cans but no computer upgrade), he's about half my weight if that. Done from 80kph through to about 150 the new bike pulled an initial advantage of about 2 bike lengths and by the time we got to 150ish it had pulled another bike length and a bit maybe.
Also worth noting that the new bike is running lower gearing too (1 tooth on the front sprocket as I understand), I thought my bike acquitted itself rather well but that said there is definitely an extra dimension of ridability with the new model. Probably the biggest improvement between the first 14's and the latest one is the forks are miles better and the fit and finish of the plastics is quite an improvement.
