Hi there,
I am looking to purchase a mates 2007 CR250. It's been well looked after from new.
The motor has had a full rebuild and is now a 280cc.
Is there anything I should be aware of in regards to other works that should be done - i.e carburator upgrade? and looking to further down the track with this having been done?
I guess the bike will have a gained more power.
Cheers
Jay

Depends if its had any port work done, I would ride it at least before buying. Probably a little more torque

i'll give him 5 buck and a bag of chips for it.

it depends on how the big bore was done, if it has been sleeved then i would steer clear of it, if it has been bored and replated then they can be ok,
the 280 2 strokes i have seen have gone well but needed to be rejetted to suit, they get a bit of torque, and loose over rev,

if its a 4t then it is more likely to be a athena kit which are pretty good, the jetting was not to far off on those from memory,
