Hi all,
Yep it all kicks off again for the season on Sunday 30th September.
The ART team are keen to get trackside and all groups are filling quickly!
There is an additional incentive of a healthy discount if you book all 6 events this season.
We welcome back our loyal sponsors in the form of Northern Accessories (Cycletreads) and Star Insurance.
Check the web site for entry forms for all events http://www.amcc.org.nz/home
Its been a long winter so now is the time to blow away a few cobwebs and brush up your skills and techniques.
Happy to answer any questions both on here and down at our club rooms (Thursday evenings).
See you track side

Looking forward to it!
I hear there are changes being made to Pukekohe, am I correct in thinking this and is there a timeframe for when its meant to have taken place?

There are planned 'improvements' to Pukekohe as a result of the ten Million plus bucks 'we' have given them.
What they are and when they will happen and how it will effect day to day operations may become a little clearer in a few weeks when plans are back from the architects.
Until then we have to hurry up and wait.

Spaces as expected are filling fast, every time the postman shows up he has more for us so dont delay your entry.
The legendary Mr Andrew Stroud will be our Star Instructor for the day and he proved very popular last time.

Would like to introduce a new sponsor to the ART team in the form of Red Baron Motorcycles Auckland.
Nick from Red Baron will be at all events with a display of bikes available from the range he stocks and would be keen to speak to potential new bike purchasers both at the circuit or at his dealership at 299 Great North Road or give him a ring on 09 3607700.

Hi Graham I want to attend some of these track days. Only getting my bike mid October. But am keen on the October 27th (Sat.) at Hampton Downs and the December 9th (Sun.) at Pukekohe.
What is the best way to sign up for those? I'm probably medium speed. Definitely not "that fast" but been on quite a few track days in the past.
Thanks

JS, check the web site for entry details I'd sugest Group 2 for starters you can always progress through the other groups as you improve.
A little bad news I'm afraid peeps We have lost some of our Pukekohe dates due to the planned re-construction of the circuit between November and February/March.
I am working with Hampton Downs to try and secure dates for ART to replace the lost Puke dates so watch this space and or the web site.

You would not want to arrive that late. 8am is probably closer to the mark.
Day usually ends around 4pm to 5pm.

I echo that. It was very challenging for many of the organizers and people helping out with the prior day's racing, and the hot hot sun.

Thanks to the AMCC team for putting on another great day.
I always forget how fast and bumpy Puke’ is. At one point I think I almost enjoyed it.
Special thanks to Superman instructor (really sorry but I’m bad with names) for the lead ‘round.
See ya.

Excellent as usual. Thanks to all the marshals, instructors and organisers. Also thanks to MOST OF the riders, the standard of riding was excellent today.
Fixed that for ya! I definitely wouldn't go so far as to thank ALL the riders. There was some pretty crazy under / overtaking too closely and other dangerous maneuvers that could have ended badly but luckily didn't.
But yes, overall great day day once again, thanks AMCC! :sunny:
