Hi I am new to this site and wondering if anyone is wiiling to comment on their experience and give advice on choosing a mid size cruiser bike.

The options I have at the moment are:
Suzuki M50
Suzuki C50
Hyosung GV650
Hyosung ST7
Yamaha V Star 900
Yamaha V Star 1100
Honda VT 750
Kawasaki Vulcan 900

All suggestions welcome.
cheers

Ride as many as you can, mate. I had a C50T and it was almost perfect for us. One of the best handling middle-weights and with a good turn of speed when required, so much so that a mate with a GSX1400 asked if it was a thou. Great two-up with plenty of room.

Apparently the reports on the Hyosung ST7 are praising its performance as well.

Welcome to take my M50 for a spin, it's not for sale, but I could be interested in your Hyosung for wife & daughter

Buy a Hornet 900 - better than any cruiser unless you are hell bent on the cruiser looks. GSX1400 suggestion is also good, ditto FJ1300.

They go around corners .......... just saying.

Out of your list I think the Suzuki's are the pick. Been touring with mates who ride the C50's and M50's...they go well. Of course we like our sportster for touring , but hey it take all kinds to make up the biking world.
Best of luck.....

Thanks for that mate, I am a bit inclined towards suzuki as well but still have to see what others have to say.

Another recommendation for the Boulevard M50. I'm loving my bike, easy to manouever, cruise all day at 120, maxes out at 160, comfortable seat (2010 version, the first year with the M109 headlight cover).

Took a friend for a 250 km pillion the other weekend, he rides a HD but was very impressed. Mines in Candy Orange Max, and she looks fantastic.

Actually, I do have a friend with an 883 Sportster Screaming Eagled out to 1200 for sale. It's a narrow wee tiny thing, but goes quite well.

Put one of these on your list.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/cruiser/auction-510690609.htm

+ves:
Sporty - for a cruiser
Faster than most cruisers twice its capacity
Cheaper than newer stuff

-ves:
Chain drive
Limited fuel capacity/range - although many/most cruisers are similarly constrained
