Just checked into the MNZ website, and its updated with a newlook. So far it looks like a great improvement over the old layout.

good to see the upgrade, it was well overdue, hopefully they keep the press releases and race reports off their and keep it easy for the riders to find the info they need, also good to see that they have made it easy to get to the class you are interested in,
interesting that they do not put speedway on it at all, I know they have an agreement with Speedway NZ but thought they would promote the only class that had a world championship event here,

The 'upcoming events' needs sorted for a better filtering processes. At the moment if you are reading that website for the first time it looks like there is not type of event till the 14/10. No doubt there are a few things to iron out.

Not sure about the road racing icon. I'm wondering how many Boulevards are racing currently... and what class they'd be in. ;)

well i'd rather have a website guru who knows shit all about motorcycles design it than a motorcyclist who knows shit all about website design do the job.
has anyone noticed there's an Aussie featured on the front page when the Road Racing comes up? gotta get a Kiwi on that page soon methinks

Merely pointing out a small oversight while, as Shorty_925 so eloquently put it, "No doubt there are a few things to iron out." :)

I think that was the problem with the old website - it looked like it was designed by a biker.

You guys must be on broadband...on dialup it's way slower than the old site. I gave up the first time I looked at it as it seems you have to wait for all the bells and whistles to complete before you can move to any specific areas.
For me at least, at present it's not a site I'll go to regularly because I just don't have that much time....

Of course I do...sorry to disillusion you but a hell of a lot of NZ is still on dialup as it's all we can get.
Amusingly, the local school is having a fibre optic connection made to the cable outside my gate...financed by the govt,,,,which as far as I've heard they won't be able to afford to use.
Phil Garrett of sidecar fame was part of the gang doing it - and they wouldn't hook me on for a cashie....bugger.

To be honest I think it's because we got our permits in long before the new site was due to come online. Any new events should show up I'm guessing.
I think it's a great improvement over the old site. It could drop a cookie so it knows you want Roadracing rather than Trials as default maybe. I'll be calling them to let them know my thoughts once I used it a bit.

Yeah believe it some of us DO still have dial up (and very slow dial up too ... sometimes it wont even load google home page) Mount Everest Base Camp has high speed B/Band and as the new TV ad says so does rural Hungary. But as Grumph says much of NZ doesnt............. even the fast b/band in this coiuntry cant utalise some of the technology used for websites in other parts of the world so ive been told.
There is a time difference in NZ outside the cities you turn your watch back............... 20 yrs.
