I received a donut voucher for 117 kmh while overtaking a truck near Omarama three weeks ago. Now I know exactly how to pay that. :D

Why not rock up with a couple boxes of donuts and see if they might waive the fine? :blip:

Shows initiative, patience (imagine folding that many $1 bills), humour and responsibility (he paid the fine didn't he?)

Give that man a job !!!!

The payment might be novelty but running a red light in my opinion warrants the fine, now speeding on the open road is another matter.......

Your post, Called double standards init ! For once forget the negative and smile with the rest of the world at a novel way of creating some humour. Your day may seem brighter for doing so.:msn-wink:

It's worth bearing in mind that in the US, there have been many cases where the city councils operating the red light cameras have been caught lowering the yellow-light period to maximise profits, so while this guy may have run a red light, it's entirely possible that his actions would have been completely legal if the yellow phase length actually obeyed their national standard.

Not double standards, running a red light is inherently much more dangerious than collecting a tax for exceeding the speed limit in favourable conditions, ie open road, good conditions, light/no traffic, passing etc....

I'm sure you'll agree:rolleyes:
