Move to Wellington! The weather is fantastic here -- 16 degrees a bit earlier. We've just come back from a cracker day over in the Wairarapa -- a few squitty showers over there but not enough to dampen much.

Halo 2 Online. Tis a fun thing so long as it doesn't keep giving you the same game types and maps over and over and over again. So tired of team slayer on sanctuary.
Team Snipers on Coagulation or Containment is really fun though. Exspecially with 4 teams of two. Me and my mate are unbeatable!!! So long as the lag isn't in the yellow or lower...

Besides you can go just as hard in the wet as you can in the dry if you are in a cage.

Rain? Yeah, there was a bit...

I just got back from riding a trial in the rain - it was all about mud,and crashing, and mud,and crashing, rolling down banks, stuck in streams, water in my boots,up to my elbow, total exhaustion,as wet from sweat as rain, mud, mud, mud. My hip is sore,my goolies are sore,my front mudguard is fucked,my clutch lever is broken.
That was fun,I'd do it again tomorrow if I didn't have to work.
Mr Skid is still out there,it'll be a long ride home in the rain for him.

Was having a lovely sleep-in this morning until the neighbour rung me up (10.50am) to go and sort out her comp... son had done something to her comp while she was overseas. and lost msn 7.0 version and had 4.7 version on it instead. It was WTF has he done now.
Then home and watched tv.. Just watched the Rugby.. yeah ok I don't have SKY and had to wait til 3.30pm....
But just before the rugby I watched the bikes racing in the pissing down rain on TV1....
So all in all a very exciting day ... NOT.
Didn't go near the bike today...

letsee, woke up at 1450, watched a bit of one sport, saw a bit of donington and had lunch. Got dressed and hacked up my front mudguard for the second time (repetitive crashing has made the mudguard start to come to bits).
Then browsed KB, about to have dinner... not bad considering somebody in the sky has been going to the toilet all day...

Went for a trail ride at he Rotheram school,40km loop very well marked and a brilliant circuit with a good mix of terrain, I was riding Diesel Pigs KDX200 as I haven't got around to fixing my IT200
The weather varied from bright sunshine to thick fog as we climbed up and down hills and valleys and rode flat farmland to riverbeds to 4wd tracks the first lap I managed to have a lowside when I hit a corner a bit fast and went down in a heap but we weren't really going that fast
Lap 2 and we're riding with a different bunch as we hooked up with Glen and Shane and the pace is a bit quicker,Glens riding a stocker DR250 and hammering it although I can haul him in easily enough,I hit a downhill and wonder why the rear brake isn't working, once I get to the bottom I discover the rear caliper dragging on the ground behind me so I tape it to the swingarm and carry on,this lap results in two more lowsides and a highside on the last corner before the pits
A bloody excellent day

After waking up from a long night of drinking, went down to a small (60m long) westie beach below my mates place and mucked around, then rode home through the west auckland twisties. Pity it was wet though :(
Decided to give scenic drive a miss.

busy busy busy...good wet weekend for doing stuff inside
sat was prep day for lots of electrical work on the house
My first 2 sparkys let me down (grrrrrrr) so I convinced my ex to fly down from dorkland and do it all for me.....damn good guy really....and I know I'd get a good job done
Cos he was such a good bloke I let him go out on sat and play golf...just that kinda gal is me!
Bearing in mind that this is an 80 year old house, on Sunday we:
wired 4 new plug installs, replaced 3 old plugs
installed a heat transfer fan switch and speed controller
moved on light circuit across the room, new cable
moved another around a corner and added a new fitting
replaced a dead light switch
.......and demolished half the kitchen
and also understanding that the light cables all had steel conduit so it took us as long to wire up the one light as it did to do almost everything else......lotsa swearing going on!
then I packed him back off home and spent a lovely evening admiring our handiwork....amongst other things ......damn good night....rice pudding is the best when served hot with whipped cream and delicious company eh darling :devil2:

You should move to where the sun shines! Saturday was brilliant here - at least until the neighbour across the road lit a bonfire to burn off all the trimmings of his pine trees. Smoked the whole countryside out, so we headed up to a friend's place in Himatangi to collect firewood. Had a great day, good exercise and some nice wood to keep the fire going on those cold nights.
Sunday was meant to be showery weather but it was fine all day. We cut up and stacked the firewood, did a bit of weeding, then I went for a ride to get some milk. Whoops, missed the first turning to go home, bugger, have to take the long way now! Mind you, it was for a reason - my husband changed my oil filter and oil when I got home, and the bike needed to be hot to do this!
The rain didn't start until about 7pm as we were having dinner. Great weekend, just way too short.

I went out in the morning the AirNZ Engineering, to check out the first of the fleet that had been converted to have the new long-haul setup. All seats and galleys are new, and the seats now have in-flight entertainment systems. Pretty kewl.
Afternoon - did stuff all; read, watched TV, cooked dinner, that sort of thing.

I'm with Motu on this one guys . . . was up at 8am and got the trailer and bike out, car all loaded up, off up to woodhill with the boys. Sand, mud, puddles, wet (tree) roots, what more could you ask for? Hell of a challenge, huge workout, and it doesnt matter if its raining - in fact, you will probably have an even bigger grin on your face, if thats possible. Got home at 8pm to a home cooked roast lamb and a hot bath with a glass of Glenlivet in my hand. What more could you ask for . . . other than to be able to do it all again today!
For those of you that *only* ride on the road - you are missing out on half the fun. Get your self a dirt bike - you wont regret it.

Man...I had a blast. Headed up to Paraparaumu on Saturday morning in glorious weather after dropping gear off at a friends. Met said friends up in Paraparaumu and shopped for yummy food. Had lunch in sun. Wandered along beach. Drew shadow drawings of the four of us (title, date inc) and took photos in the sun (since it's the last time we'll be together in the forseeable future). Went back to hostel - read Cosmo (it gets better with more people around). Snoozed. Woke up, made dinner, chatted. Returned to room. Drank a bit more, nibbled on chocolate, chatted more, read book, snoozed.
Up on Sunday morning - packed gear and threw it into friends car. Grabbed banana and shoved in top pocket of jacket (would've made awful mess if...). Headed south - up over Paekakariki Hill Rd (again, fantastic weather), along the Whitby stretch, mway to Tawa, then Glenfield/Ngaio/Churchill/Karori/Kelburn home.
Me and Gem had SUCH a blast, that after a shower and clean up etc. I still couldn't reisst getting back on her and riding off to brunch in the city. Then aroudn to a friends place. Then up to my flatmates parents place for dinner. It was an effort makign sure we were home by 10pm! :) What a GREAT weekend.
