RVF400? Do you mean VFR400?

The rvf400 (nc35) came after the vfr400. I have never seen one for sale so im not sure how much they are worth but probably worth double what you are willing to pay

There is one on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/sports/auction-516666123.htm

They only come up every couple of months.

This one has been up before I guess it didn't sell.

They tend to sell for over $5k if in standard trim.

These are LAMS listed as well! Although they probably shouldn't be :shit:

Not sure if that one on TM would get through LAMS though as its been modified from standard.

Yes definately the rvf400, I hadn't heard of it until I went through some of the new Lams approved bikes. Like the original retro bodywork. The trademe ad looks nice, but it seems like there are a few issues. It would probably be silly of me to get rid of a reliable ninja '09 for something that old, but fancy a change.

anyone know how much this issue would cost to fix/how hard it would be to solve? For the one listed on trademe as linked above. Thanks

That's a VFR, not an RVF. The RVF has less power (53hp vs 59hp) so it is allowed on the LAMS list.

Strangely the RVF seemed to pull very similar figures on dynos to the VFR from what I've seen, and they're prettier. Should not be LAMS

OP: You won't get an RVF for $4.5k. You'll get a pretty tasty VFR, but it's not learner legal

Good news is, I'll eat my helmet if your average popo knows the difference between an RVF and a VFR and would know that there's a difference between the two when it comes to LAMS compliance! Go on, do it! :devil2:

Go on, do it! :devil2:Pretty obvious with VFR written on the side (assuming it's stock) and will also show on their computer system so not sure how you would plan on getting away with it?

Also the ride is wayyyy different when cornering ..the trail is alot less with the NC30 .Its trickier to handle .Its not as forgiving when choosing a line .
saying that it handles sublimely .the LAMS calc puts the power ratio as over for a VFR .They are a tricky bunch those nzta types the RVF is LAMS approved.
