hello New Zealand!
- seems my wife who's from Wellington ( Newtown ) is single handedly tryin to support the NZ economy!
3rd Xmas in a row planned in NZ is planned :third:
actually I made it over twice last year - and every time I think jeez - some great riding roads here! :) must get on a bike!
we living in Hong Kong right now - both of us have bikes - she's rockin to work on a TW ( english teacher ) and I've a couple of bike ( hornet 600 :devil2: and CRM 250 - there are some seriously hardcore trails here.. and its f-f-f-frickin hot as well.. )
sooo,... I'm looking at getting at least me some wheels when we're in wellington ( I saw the trail going to red rocks and thought I'd like a blast down there at least and maybe beyond whlilst she's visiting hewr folks )
so if any one has any idea or suggestions for me it's be great - I have a full HK license which according to the Transport dep in NZ is valid for a year ( I'll be 2 weeks! ) but I can bring an international one no bother..
can I hire? whats affordable? - some of the trail rides seemed a bit pricey? like NZ 300 for a few hours?! anyone got a bike they could lend?
should I buy something? but its just for a week or so? is it worth it?
any ideas?
cheers
mart
ps
