I don't know about "normal price" quite often their sale prices go low, but you're right in that they keep them at the high RRP prices till sale time, & they're also hoping while you're in for the sale item you'll be attracted to a full price item at the same time.
Funny thing is tho (& alot of people haven't noticed this yet) is while Briscoes is famous for it & possibly started it, almost all major retail nowadays has constant "sales"... Just take a look at your junk mail
