qualifing was last night our time, we did not make the A Final, Cody Cooper was penalised 1 minute due to failing the after race sound test, so we missed the A Main by 1 point,

Josh 9th
Kayne 22nd,
Cody 22nd (Was 15th before penalty)

was a heap of drama as Barcia got DQ'd for outside help with one of the American crew pulling some advertising boardings off his bike,

Germany top qualifed,

Good to see Cody first & Josh second in the B Final, so they get to race in the main :)

well the German's won for the first time from Belgium and teh USA, Cairoli who has had some horrible MXdN's in the past won 2 motos with herlings winning the other, and the American's were never really in the Hunt,

NZ finished 15th, with Josh being the stand out performer,

Looked at the high lights on Y tube the Euros rode well esp Cairoli, Roczen, and Herlings the Yanks didn't have a answer to their speed in the deep sand.
Some of the US supporters are banging on about DeJiker taking out Barcia but he ran into big Ken, probably the worst guy you want to run into as he's huge and you'll always come of 2nd best.

That was Chuck Sun who pulled him out - should have known better. He did the CBS 'Americanised' commentary with Ralph Sheheen.

I don't believe he never touched the bike & as such didn't think he'd done anything illegal, to be honest I think it was a bad call.

i dont, he was in a restricted area were only team guys are allowed with special passes, and he helped free the bike, the europeans are much harder on this,

infact Dungey was luck not to be penalised in teh last race as he joined the track in a different place after crashing off the track, De Ruever had made a point of it as they were only a few points ahead of Holland overall,

Fair enough.

Dungey was weird, all he had to do was a 180, tough to know whether he lost time by going the way he did vs a 180.

Barcia going into the pits to get his front wheel fixed must have been close to a penalty wouldn't it, because of where they worked on his bike.

All in all that is alot of potential for penalties, the USA team could have easily been fourth or worse.

once the bike is in the pits then the mechanics are allowed to work on it, thats why they would not get off the wooden part

Didnt a similar thing happen in the last AMA round? The dung went off track, skipped a part of the track and then rejoined after a corner, didnt gain a place but was still right behind Alessi after being off.

the US has different rules in this regards (and no green fencing enforcing it either)

FIM rules (as NZ's are) must reenter the track where you left it, (latitude given for saftey)

AMA (US) rules, reenter at next safest point as long as you do not gain advantage,

If the points had been closer the USA may have been dealt a death blow, Belgium and Holland had there MX2 riders suffer DNF's also played a part.
Kiwi's did a great job 3 x 30 min moto's would have wrecked a lesser team, Josh a legend must have been the oldest guy out there.
