Hey people,
seriously considering getting one of these beasts.
Just wondering if anyone has ridden one before?
Colemans was the only suzuki shop that had the 650k5 and it hasnt been oiled or anything so i cant ride it less i pay for it.
any feedback would be much appreciated.
cheers

Yea dont worry I just polished up my seat... for you mr SPB and your SHEEP we will have a royal shagging.
All I know about the GSF's is they are reliable as a brick (well were).

yeah, i've heard they are really reliable. If i get one i'll probably change the front guard to a street fighter fairng, get one of those rear gurad reducer thingies and maybe a nicer looking/sounding pipe. Otherwise it just looks pretty beasty. :Punk:

I suggest you put your eyes over a used copper coloured SV650S @ Colemans .... I hear its got a really nice M4 titanium full system  and its been really well looked after. Ask them to start it up :)

Is it still there?? They do have an older silver carbed model.
You thought of a TRX850?? Supposed to be a docile bike - worth a test ride I guess.....

i've decided to go for the GSF650 as i'm a trained straight four rider. I do want to test out the SV650 for comparitive reasons... but at the moment im keen on the bandit. Wanna get street fighter front fairing, mirrors with inidicators (like k5 gixxer thou), micron scorched titanium pipe, and a few other 'look nice' and 'go fast' bits. At the moment im putting my pennies away for a set of leathers (nearly there) then its going to be going towards gathering a bigger deposit for getting the new bike.

yep... sounds nice and makes sense... fairly reasonable leap between twins and 4's as I have found. But if you are looking at the GSF650 that would cost around 10k new then why not the Honda CB900 Hornet? might be a better package than the GSF...
when & where you getting your pipe and leathers? I might order some bits from overseas soon and will be visiting HK so might be able to bring some cheap bits back.

yea... only plastic damage, so its a sound bike...with good tires :) Z6 and M1 last time I saw it, its back to as new condition...

getting leathers from devil - second hand belpak ones when he gets his new set, as for the pipe im hoping to pickup a micron end can, of course it will be a while off as if i get the bike i'll be making regular payments which wont leave a lot for extra bits after making sure i've got the money spare for tyres etc when i need them.

The 650 sounds like a great package. Not much more hp than the 600, but much more torque. If you like 4's you won't be that keen on the SV.
PS Anyone have any secret info on K6 Bandit 12's?

You can get a naked GSF 1200 for $9990

yeah i've seen that, but it hasnt got the same styling as the k5 650 does. I've been thinking about it but i dont need that much power...

There's 90kg of Devil that fits in those leathers with room to spare.
Gareth's not allowed a hornet because I'd punch him in the cunt if he got one.
Mine!!!

A little heavier and little taller, the suit is XL.
Plans are in the works for a Hornet with extras, but bought a house recently so got a few things to deal with first...

Was looking at an '00 or '01 CBR600F would probably still consider one, but the lure of a brand new Hornet is pretty strong.

i tried them on already and went for a short ride. Just so long as im not trying to be head down bum up they work just fine for me, just need the back of the knees cut out and redone with softer material.
what you mean what else have i test riden?

You should find them more comfortable with a bike like the bandit, better legroom. Thats why I dont think i'll mod my leathers because the hornet has tons of space.
Oh and bandits, holeshot offered me the naked 1200 for $9995 (brand spankers) heh.
I thought about the 650 (would still like to see one, who's got one?) but I'd be carting the missus around a bit so the extra torque of the hornet would be of great benefit. Otherwise, yeah.

What other bikes - you ridden the Hyosung, the SV, any other 600's, etc......
By the way you seen this??

HEY SARGE!!! UNTIL THE K6's ARRIVE THAT ONE IS MINE!!!
ermm i was in holeshots looking for one originally, they have the GSF600k4, not quite as nice but its at $8995, the same year's 1200 is $9995.
from memory Colemans had a GSF600S(k4) and the 1200 was again $1000 more. I think with the k5 models i was a tad over $1000 more for the 1200.
I think that the 650 was a good bit of torque, i'd like to see the figures up against the Hornet 900... but personally the GSF650 takes the cake on looks and wont be overly out performed by the hornet900 except in the $$$ for CC field.
see the sexy GSF650K5 here (http://www.suzuki.co.nz/motorcycles/bike.gallery/gsf650k5.m.black.jpg)

I've been trying to find the hp/torque figures for the bandit, but haven't been successful so far.
But for the hornet (Honda's claims): 110hp, 93nm, 193kg dry.
